When we were first hit by the pandemic, our team released a 2-page guide to resources that can support educators in integrating SEL in a virtual world. We have since revised our SEL Integration Approach and our related remote learning guide. As things remain unpredictable, inconsistent, and outside of an educator’s “circle of control”, the practices outlined here support educators in channeling their energy into tangible ways to be responsive in a complex time. We have distilled these recommendations into three categories, which are aligned with best practices from other organizations, such as Turnaround for Children:
